The opportunity to "be the church" in welcoming visitors and members, making sure they have a place
to sit, and taking the offering. The ushers also answer questions about the church. Please contact the
church office if you are interested.
Each Sunday we have a greeters volunteer to welcome people as they drive up to the church and enter the
Sanctuary.They are available to answer questions and give directions to classrooms, etc.
Our friendly Visitor Ministry provides a caring ministry to visit members and constituents in their
homes offering compassionate support. Friendly visitors attend a class
to grow in listening skills and are supervised by a trained Stephen Ministry Leader.
In addition to the choirs and organ, the church puts on several productions each year. Click here to learn more about these programs.
Purpose: to spread the message of God's love through community and church activities.
We seek fellowship with other men to learn and grow in Christ. The men
participate in church projects and activities, including dinners,
workdays, fundraising and special events. We are committed to fulfilling
the commission of Jesus, "Come follow me, and I will make you fishers of
men." (Matthew 4:19). UMM welcomes everyone to attend our meetings and activities.
PURPOSE of UMW: to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to
develop a creative and supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of
mission through participation in the global ministries of the Church.

• The General Meeting with a program, is the third Tuesday
of the month, 10:00 a.m. with lunch served at noon.
• The Executive Committee meets on the first Tuesday
of the month, 10:30 a.m.

Health Ministry
The First United Methodist Church of Pacific Grove now has a Health Ministry. In conjunction with
the pastor and the faith community, the Health Ministry team's purpose
is to promote whole person health - body, mind and spirit - within the
congregation and the community. This is not for medical care.
