Pacific Grove’s “First Church”

Celebrating 134 years of Spiritual Service to Pacific Grove.
Pacific Grove's first church. In 1875 the city of Pacific Grove was known as The Pacific Grove Retreat, a beautiful place for Methodists to find Spiritual Growth as well as Chautauqua Meetings and Gatherings. From these simple beginnings a city was formed and has grown into the splendid community we know know as Pacific Grove California.

We are located near the tip of the Monterey Peninsula on a forested hillside at the junction of Sunset Drive and 17 Mile Drive, adjacent to one of the several entrances into Pebble Beach.
